Doreen Enright

Advocate for patient-centred care

Doreen Enright was a healthcare professional with an extensive career in nursing and healthcare management. She served as Director of Nursing and General Manager for Croydon Mental Health Trust.

Although now retired, Doreen is an advocate for patient-centered care, Doreen brings a unique perspective that combines professional expertise with a deep understanding of patient needs. She is particularly dedicated to challenging age-based stereotypes in healthcare, firmly believing that patients should be treated based on their symptoms rather than their age. Doreen strongly advocates for the elimination of terms like “geriatric,” preferring more personalised, symptom-focused approaches to patient care.
