Fiona graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2004 with a BSc. in Physiotherapy. She worked as a physiotherapist in Galway University Hospital for 15 years, with a special interest in oncology, women’s health, and practice education. In 2019, Fiona moved away from her clinical role and took up a position as Saolta University Hospital Group Clinical Research & Development Manager. During this time she was involved in the establishment of the Saolta-University of Galway Clinical Research & Development Office, whilst also completing her MSc in Healthcare Leadership.
Fiona began working with the HSE National HSCP Office as HSCP Development Manager in October 2022, and has recently taken up the role of HSCP Assistant National Lead for Education & Workforce Development. Fiona is passionate about the importance of inter-professional collaboration in striving for service improvement within our health services.
