Dermot studied electronic and computer engineering at Ulster University before beginning his career as an electronic design engineer developing medical device products. He initially launched the business that would become OneTouch Health to reduce isolation for elderly people in remote rural locations by enabling them to interact with families and friends via technology. This led to working with care companies where Dermot quickly realised the need for care providers to leverage digital technologies to gain efficiencies in their business. Dermot prides himself on putting the customer first and developing functionality based on their specific requirements. This means that the OneTouch platform has developed into a single solution that includes all the functionality a care provider might need to run their operations, manage their staff and most importantly, support and enable the provision of high-quality care for service users.
Over the last 10 years OneTouch Health has grown into one of the largest care management software providers in Ireland in the UK. Initially based in ATU Innovation Hub in Galway OneTouch Health is now headquartered in Oranmore with offices throughout Ireland, the UK and Australia.
