Jillian is a Chartered Director and governance consultant with extensive experience influencing health policy and legislation. As Chair of the Online Health Taskforce for the Department of Health, she continues to shape evidence-informed policy recommendations. As a former independent Senator, Jillian advocated for and informed legislation on several public health issues.
Jillian’s current governance roles include Board Chair of Nursing Homes Ireland and Board Chair of the Private Security Authority. Her previous leadership positions include Chief Executive of the Children’s Rights Alliance, President of the National Youth Council of Ireland, Board Chair of Early Childhood Ireland and Chief Commissioner of Irish Girl Guides.
With over 20 years of board experience across private, not-for-profit and charity sectors in Ireland and at EU level, Jillian brings strategic insight into how organisations can adapt to meet evolving health and care challenges. She is accredited by the INSEAD International Directors Programme (IDP-C).
In recognition of her contributions to public service, Jillian has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite by the President of France, and the prestigious World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Medal of Service.
