Kathleen Is an experienced clinical research leader with over 25 years in clinical program management and operational leadership across the UK, Ireland and Australia. Kathleen joined Novartis in 2021 and is the Site Head in Dublin for Study Leadership. She is also the Study Director Community Lead for pediatric trials, where Kathleen leads a community of global Study Leaders responsible for the execution and delivery of pediatric clinical studies across a wide range of indications.
Previously, Kathleen has held a variety of Clinical Program and Operations leadership roles, leading cross-functional teams in CRO, biopharma and academic and non-profit organisations, including Cancer Trials Ireland where she held positions including Clinical Program Leader and Head of Operations.
Kathleen’s academic background includes a PhD from the University of Glasgow and a BSc (Hons) in Immunology & Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde, UK. Kathleen has held academic positions, including Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, where Kathleen developed a postgraduate course in clinical trials for nursing and allied health professionals, as well as completing a Cochrane Review at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2014.
